Open Sesame is the first single from the upcoming debut album '80's baby' by purpleread. a new and refreshing sound from the XspiritMental family bringing strength, tranquility and a channeling of the elements. produced mixed and mastered by spiritchild. It has been 5 years in the making and cross continental shifts to produce, record, mix and master this work of art.
Open Sesame expresses sensuality, spirituality and sonic existentialism. Metaphorically interweaving pachamama (mother earth) and the calling of a witches nature through song. "Lick my wind, grab my grass...hold my water, show your glass".
Every word a spark of light that jolts the soul, every note whispered a witches warlock brewed stirring and invitation to transcend.
Open Sesame is an invitation for those longing to open their souls to an organic feeling. "Give me something real to respond to...Something real to hold onto...Will real be you to hold onto". This newly debuted songwriter crafts poetic scenarios that challenge, embrace and transforms.
The album was recorded on Flatbush, Brooklyn - Crown Heights, Brooklyn - Staten Island, New York - Berlin, Germany and in Belgium. For the love of music and soul, hard drives have crossed borders, keys have noted over seas and what remains are these vibrations we present to you throughout 2020.
